Idea Friday #51

It’s going to be a bit of a cliche. Just a bit. One word, actually.

Here is the idea for this week.

IDEA:

-The story about a world where a genetic mutation at the global scale transformed the genetic of men into those of vampiric qualities. The mutation turned red blood cells into a sensitive compound that boils when the skin became exposed to the sun or water heated by the sun. The mutation also limits mankind’s ability to create new blood, thus forcing them to feed on others to keep their blood supply from running low. Stakes and garlics don’t work in this world. And since their red blood cells has been transformed, they were able to absorbed more oxygen than a normal human could, allowing them to expand their energy more efficiently, and thus creating the illusion of them having “supernatural” power.

Something unique, to me, that is. A scientific and realistic approach to vampirism. Maybe someone out there could use this idea. Or maybe I will.
